What's better than a chilled weekend enjoying the weather and a nice walk around?
It's quite hot at the moment, in fact it's the hottest it's ever been in Wales apparently? If you are like me and burn at the hint of sunlight, you are always looking for nice shady walks and ways to keep away from those rays during the hottest parts of the day.
So you bet I was thrilled to find a lovely lake surrounded by trees and plenty of shade to hide in on the way around. There was also lots of ducks, so I was gutted that I left my duck food in the car!
This little gem can be found in Llansamlet, Swansea, the car park is opposite a big ice cream shop in the industrial estate!
Overall it was a lovely walk around the lake, while the temperature was rising. I plan on going back and doing the full lap in slightly less intense heat, for now I think the best thing to do is spend the days inside in the shade and the evenings out for a nice walk!
