It’s a brand new year and time for a reset, which I think is always a welcome part of running a small business. The Christmas season can be so chaotic that a lot of admin, social media, and even fresh and fun ideas can be pushed to the back of my mind for another time. So it’s lovely to have a bit of calm after the storm of Christmas to really work out what I want to do this year and what’s most important to me.
Some Wins from 2025
-
Getting a wholesale order from a National Trust shop, this is huge and was always a goal that I set for myself at the start when I thought about what I wanted my products to be. The next goal I guess would be to do it again!
-
Hitting my goal of 20 wholesale orders this year, this was great because I feel like not only does this get my products onto shelves, but in front of so many eyes of people that may be searching for exactly what I sell. This year’s goal has to be thirty!
-
My best Christmas season ever, it was so busy and I completely sold out of my Christmas collection, plus making more things last minute to replace them. I remember my first year where I designed a couple of fabrics, made a whole range of Christmassy products and I think I sold one or two things, and I was so disappointed and I think this is honestly what put me off of doing seasonal things and ending up with waste fabric. Over the years I have found what works, and I am really excited to see what happens next year.

Reading over 200 books, I love reading so much that I launched a bookish collection, this collection really came from my love of books and honestly I guess how much they have helped me through a tough couple of years. I may have been too unwell to go far from my house for a few stretches there, but through reading I explored fantasy lands, fast pace thrillers, and enjoyed cute romances now that I have a partner who behaves the same way!

Personally, combatting a lot of my anxiety with pushing myself through discomfort. My business has been a saviour for allowing me the comfort of working from home and taking breaks when I need to, but I still have pushed myself to get out more again and enjoy the things I used to, work life balance, right?
Upcoming Sale
You may notice a few things going on sale and leaving the store these next few weeks, this is just to make room for some revamped classics and some whole new things coming as soon as I can get the ideas all together. This is an exciting time for me as I feel like a bit of change from products I literally designed when I first launched the business is a good thing. I love the products I've made and the patterns I've designed, but I’ve been listening to you and what you want from things, so that’s the direction I'll be heading in.
If you want to be the first to hear about sales, join the newsletter where you’ll hear before social media, and since a lot of the items may be one-offs, it’ll be the difference between snagging that tote you wanted or just missing it!
Plans for 2026
I am, at heart, a planner, I have literally spent days over my Christmas break going over everything I want to do this year and when I need to do it by. I’m hoping it’s not too ambitious because I really want to see everything done this year and done right. Without revealing EXACTLY what I'm working on quite yet, here’s a few things you may be seeing very soon:
-
TWO new patterns on a NEW range of products
-
ONE new pattern on a very special range of products for the Spring
-
ONE product that is going to have a complete makeover
-
A whole new way of me interacting with you, and a whole new way of shopping
-
More of my face on socials, I really have hidden from the camera this year, let’s face it, I work in my pyjamas too much and that has to change haha. I think it’s important to show up and show you the face behind the business, and the cute dog face that helps out!
That’s all from me for now, I’m off to get busy in the sewing room so I have something to show you very soon. I hope you have all had a lovely Christmas and a happy new year, all the best for the year ahead.
Don’t forget the newsletter to keep in touch, but you can also find us on Instagram, Facebook and Tiktok to see what we get up to day-to-day.
